The affair in The Cloud
within the puffy vapors
is troubled to hide
as the lightning tapers.

The Cloud grows dark
as menacing winds
up from the ground
abruptly ascends.

The sudden exposure
of secreted fears
are sent to the ground
as raindrop tears.

The Cloud is restored —
not so the affair
that couldn't withstand
the public's glare.
