Very clever, Phillip. I like how you formatted the words and used a font like a Smith Corona. Have you ever written that way yourself, on a typewriter? Was ee cummings a typist who wanted to avoid the shift key?
ReplyDeleteI don't know much about him, and why he chose not to capitalize. Was it out of practicality, or was it a sort of political decision?
Thanks for sharing on RWP.
I'm not very familiar with the theories or explanation of why E.E. Cummings used the punctuational style and syntax that he did, other than he wanted to be "anti-authoritarian, so in that sense it was "political".
ReplyDeleteUsing a typewriter is something I did so long ago I forgot what I did :-).
