Lovely Brita
Lovely Brita®
filter made
my insides so much fresher:
raining queen of the water pitcher;
nothing could be much cleaner.
But when her power
began to fade
I knew her reign was finally over
and it was time to replace her:
lovely Brita,
pitcher maid.
Notes:
1. placed in Poets United Think Tank #12, topic: water
2. famous poems about water

Good stuff! Both filter and salute. :)
ReplyDeleteVery good!
ReplyDeleteHaven't thought of Rita for years. :-)
Very, very clever!! May have to be of a certain vintage to get the rich humour of it. Also, thanks for your kind comments at Square Corner

Hahahahaaaa....love it! Very re-freshing (^_^)
ReplyDeleteHere's a treasure - poetry that makes you smile from out of no where. Sometimes we forget that side of poetry, what with all the unrequited love and sonnets about nature.
ReplyDeleteA pleasure to read. )
Not that there's anything wrong with love poems or poems about nature.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the terrific comments. I think I'm too left-brained, or whatever, to write very many love or nature poems, so I'll take what comes :-)
